Amritsari Fish Fry

YIELD: 3-4 servings
TOTAL TIME: 30-40 mins
INGREDIENTS:
Fish (basa) : 300gms (cut into cubes)
Lemon juice: 1/2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder- 1/2 tbsp
Vinegar- 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Gram flour: 1/2 cup
Rice flour: 1 tbsp
Thick yogurt: 1/4th cup
Oil as required
Fresh mint leaves to garnish
Sliced onions to serve with
Chaat masala (optional)
PREPARATION:
Add the fish to a bowl. Add red chilli powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, vinegar and mix well. Set aside for 20-30 mins.
Heat sufficient oil in a wok.
Add gram flour, rice flour and yogurt to the fish. Mix well.
Deep fry the fish one at a time till golden brown and crisp.
Drain and place on an absorbent paper.
Serve hot sprinkled with chaat masala, lemon wedges and sliced onions.
