A little bit of fresh or dried basil.
In a pan on medium heat add 2 tbsp of butter.
Reduce the flame to low heat and add flour.
Keep stirring to avoid lumps and then add milk to it.
Now the key to get a thick creamy sauce is to *whisk the milk continuously*
This is your make or break step. So make sure you keep whisking till the sauce thickens.
Now add cream.
Once the desired consistency of the sauce is achieved, add salt ,pepper, chilli flakes and dried herbs. Now switch off the flame and keep your sauce aside.
Now add minced garlic to a pan containing oil and sauté for a few seconds till the aroma fades away. Do not sauté till it turns brown.
Add cubed bell peppers and stir fry for about 1 to 2 mins.
You can even add mushrooms .
Now add the prepared sauce to the pan.
Mix well and add the cooked pasta to it.
Sprinkle some grated mozzarella cheese and parmesan on top.
Top it off with some olives and basil ~
