Fudgy walnut brownies!

YIELD: 9 servings
TOTAL TIME: 30 mins
INGREDIENTS:
Good-quality chocolate: 225 g (semi-sweet)
Melted butter: 12 tablespoons
Sugar: 1 1/4th cup (250 g)
Eggs: 2
Vanilla extract: 2 tsp
All-purpose flour : 3/4th cup(95 g)
Cocoa powder: 1/4th cup (30 g)
Chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line with aluminum foil or parchment paper,
Chop the chocolate into chunks. Melt half of the chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, save the other half for later.
In a mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugar with an electric hand mixer, then beat in the eggs and vanilla extract for 2 minutes, until the mixture becomes fluffy and light in color.
Whisk in the melted chocolate (make sure it's not too hot), then sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold it all together using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula.
Make sure not to overmix as this will cause the brownies to be more cakey in texture.
Add the chocolate chunks and walnuts then spread the batter evenly on the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, depending on how fudgy you like your brownies.
To test if your brownies are done baking, insert a toothpick in the centre, if it comes out with wet batter then its not done. If there are a few moist crumbs then they are done. So make sure your toothpick doesn't come out clean.
Cool completely and slice your brownies into squares with a knife dipped in boiling water for clean cuts!
Serve your warm fudgy brownies topped with vanilla icecream and chocolate syrup or simply with a glass of milk.
Enjoy! :)
