Pan-fried Tilapia

  • Tilapia fillet- 250 gms cut into cubes (or any other fish that you like)

  • Corn starch- 1 tbsp

  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp

  • Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp

  • Turmeric-1/4th tsp

  • Food colourant- a pinch (optional)

  • Dark soy sauce- 1 tsp

  • Vinegar-1 tsp

  • Mixed ground spices (garam masala)-1/4th tsp or Tandoori masala (Click here to buy)

  • Salt to taste


  1. In a large bowl mix the above ingredients together along with the tilapia cubes.

  2. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, heat 3 tbsp oil. Add 6-7 cubes and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until crust is golden.

  3. Repeat with the remaining cubes.

  4. Serve immediately with bell peppers (seasoned with salt and pepper), some pickled onions and lime wedges.
