YIELD: Makes 1 (10 inch) pizza
TOTAL TIME: 45 mins
For the dough:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp olive oil
Some luke warm water (use as needed)
2 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste (use as needed)
For the sauce:
Tomatoes- 2-3 (large)
Oil- 3 tbsp
6-7 cloves of garlic
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Oregano -1/2 tsp
Basil (1/2 tsp)
Red chilli flakes (1 tsp)
Salt as per taste
Sugar (1/2 tsp)
Paprika powder (1/2 tsp)
Tomato ketchup (2-3 tbsp)

For the toppings:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (Buy it here)
1 bell pepper (sliced)
1 onion cut into cubes
1 tomato sliced
Chicken marinated in spices, cooked and cut into cubes.
Start making the dough by pouring lukewarm water into a bowl.
Add yeast and sugar to the water and stir.
Set aside for 10 to 15 mins and allow it to activate and proof
Wait till you see bubbles rising and a frothy appearance.
Now add flour, salt and oil. I usually add garlic powder and dried herbs to the flour cause i like to spice up my crust a little but that's totally optional.
Mix well and prepare your dough by adding water as required.
Knead it well for about 10 mins till its soft.
Add some oil to the dough and cover it up tightly with plastic wrap and place it in a warm place.
Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size.
Heat oil in a pan and saute garlic (whole) and chopped onions for 1 - 2 mins.
Now add oregano basil and red chilli flakes.
Add the halved tomatoes and some salt and cover the pan and let it cook til the peel starts coming off.
Cook slowly till the tomatoes are softened .
Once the sauce thickens, add sugar to balance it out and also add some paprika.
Let it cook for 3-4 mins and then add some ketchup.
Mix well and switch off the flame.
Let it cool completely and blend it for a few seconds.
Preheat your oven to 425 F.
Now roll out your dough and stretch it onto the pan.
Fold the edges to form your crust.
Poke holes in the centre of the pizza using a fork to keep the dough from bubbling while it bakes.
Add your prepared sauce , and one layer of cheese.
Put your toppings and add another layer of cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven for 15 mins
